Original Fritz Fahrkraft IDF 40 carburetors, pre-set for your engine and ready for immediate use.
This carburetor surpasses the quality of all currently available dual carburetors of the proven IDF design on the market. The best cast blank available on the market is finished and assembled by us in Germany. The carburetor has the following technical specifications:
- Finest die-cast, CNC machined
- Closed DIN626 607 2RS ball bearings for the throttle shafts
- CAD designed and CNC turned venturis, Fritz Fahrkraft proprietary development
- Special idle air correction jet, tuned for VW boxer engines
- Transition bores easily accessible, sealed with special NPTF screws
- Fuel connection optionally suitable for 7.5 mm or 5.5 mm fuel hose
- Idle jet extensions

According to your information, we will customize the following settings:

To quickly and easily adapt your new carburetors optimally to your engine, we provide you with our CARBUREADER, a specially developed measuring device. Also included is a jet assortment that you can use for fine-tuning. During this phase, you have exclusive access to our experts via live calls. Our experts will help you with the fine-tuning, so that in the end you can proudly call a set of dual carburetors adapted to your engine and driving style your own.
This package includes the following services:
- Provision of the CarbuREADER® System for the duration of two weekends. Dastes are set after purchase.
- Provision of the needed software
- Required jets as a set in exchange
- For the duration of the rent: Access to our live calls to resolve any open questions
You can choose between fuel fittings for hoses with 7.5 mm or 5.5 mm inner diameter.
Up to 100 HP, an inner diameter of 5.5 mm is sufficient. The mechanical fuel pump in good condition can be used. The great advantage is that no alteration of the fuel line system from the tank to the carburetrors is needed and no adapters have to be used.
Upwards of 100 HP, the system pressure may no longer be sufficient and a conversion to a fuel line with a 7.5 mm inner diameter may be necessary. In this case, the entire fuel line system from the tank to the carburettors should be converted accordingly. An electric fuel pump including a safety relay must also be fitted.
- Your new carburettors will be promptly fitted with a base jetting that matches your specifications and will be dispatched to you.
- You can then directly install the carburettors and start using them.
- After successfull installation, you can book a date for the CarbuREADER® System .
- Directly before the dispatch of the measuring device, a deposit of EUR 200.00 is due.
- The price includes the rental costs for two weekends. That means the measuring device will arrive at your place just in time for the weekend, and you will then have the following 10 days to work with it.
On the Monday after the second weekend, you send the measuring device back to us so that we can prepare it for the next customer in time for the weekend after checking it.
- Generally, this time is more than sufficient to achieve the perfect setup.
- Also included in the package price is our extended set of jets. Consisting of the adjacent jet sizes, you will receive a selection of jets suitable for your project, allowing you to easily swap them out while working with our measuring device.
- You then return the jets you did not need, including those originally installed in the carburettors, along with the measuring device. You only keep the perfect set.
- If you need the measuring device for a longer period, your rental duration can be extended weekly. The return day remains Monday, which will then be pushed back weekly according to your extension.
- Throughout the entire rental period, you have free access to our live calls. There, you will find assistance with any questions regarding coordination or working with the measuring device.
After successful tuning and the return of the measuring device, you will receive your deposit back from us.
